From mauka (land) to makai (sea), our participants learn Hawaiian culture with all their senses. United in teamwork they take in the beauty of Maui, practice the chants of old, listen to the mo'olelo (stories) of the island, paddle wa'a (canoe), practice hula and sail in the holo ka wa'a (sailing canoe). With hearts, hands and body, keiki (children) ages four to twelve experience the rich traditions of Hawai'i, propagating and protecting the ways of our kūpuna (ancestors).
A Summer Program offering Maui's keiki valuable education of our island from mauka to makai. This program is more than just safety and fun experiences, it helps to ensure the culture, legacy and traditions of our kupuna live on.
